Anna E. Candee passed away at the age of ninety on Tuesday, November 7th. in Sunnyvale, California having moved from Boyers, Pennsylvania in 1961.

She retired from a banking career with Bank of America in 1986 and then became a Certified Credit Counselor for the Consumer Credit Counseling Service for the next ten years. She also served as District President for Consumer Credit Professionals during this period. Anna loved traveling. And in addition to visiting several countries, she was also fortunate to realize her goal to visit one of her favorite countries, Ireland. It has long been known by many that she would like to have been born “Irish”. Anna also was a very avid Stanford Cardinal Football fan and was a season ticket holder to the home games for the past thirty years. And, for many years enjoyed traveling to away games as part of the Paul Cardoza Sports Tours.

She was a friend to many and known for her quiet kindness, love of God and love of family. She was active in several ministries of her Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Usher as well as a member of the Finance Committee for several years.

Her sister, Mary Esther that she usually described as her best friend as well, survives her. Her two nieces and a nephew along with several cousins also survive her.

The Vigil Service will be on Thursday, November 16, 7:00 PM at LIMA & CAMPAGNA SUNNYVALE MORTUARY, 1315 Hollenbeck Avenue and the Funeral Mass will be on Friday, November 17, 10:30 AM at CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION, located at the Corner of Cascade and Hollenbeck Ave. Donations in Anna’s memory may be made to the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
