Born in Pocatello, ID
Resided in SANTA CLARA, California

Eva Marie, known as Tootsie to family, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2018 after a month-long illness. Eva Marie was a cherished wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was born in Pocatello, ID and spent her childhood there where she met her future husband, Willis and married him right after high school and before he went off to war. Eva Marie was an active volunteer for the war efforts and became an officer at the Fraternal Order of Eagles. In 1964, a job change forced them to move to Hoquiam Washington, and two years later to California. Eva Marie enjoyed being with people, and was very outgoing. She started in retail selling maternity clothing, where she was quickly made the store manager and later promoted to regional manager.

Eva Marie was always a caring and supportive mother, always finding the time to be there for her children, and making whatever personal sacrifices were needed.

She was active in many community service organizations such as the Fraternal Order of Eagles (where she is a lifetime member and Past Madam President); the Catholic daughters of America (where she is a Past Grand Regent); the Moose Lodge; the Daughters of the American Revolution; the Elks; and many others.

After retirement, Eva Marie began volunteering at the Sunnyvale Nutrition Center where she worked for many years and eventually became dining room manager. She met many friends at the Center and was one of her greatest joys. Her community involvement and advocacy led to her involvement with the Santa Clara Senior Council and her induction in the Santa Clara County Senior Hall of Fame. In 1991, she was appointed as Senior Ambassador, and was made Santa Clara County Senior Queen in 1992, (with her loving husband Willis as the Senior King).

Eva Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Willis to whom she was married for almost 58 years. She is survived by her sister, Florence (Escallier) Menousek of Pocatello, Idaho; three sons, Marcus Dalldorf of Santa Clara, California, Felix (Marie) Dalldorf of San Jose, California, and Willis Dalldorf of Longmont, Colorado; and four grandchildren Mathew Dalldorf, Daniel Dalldorf, Joseph Dalldorf and Johnathan Dalldorf.
