Mrs. Victoria Salazar Paz, formerly of Mountain View, Ca., passed away in Sunnyvale, Ca. at the age of 91 after a long illness with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Santa Ana California to Sofia and Julian Salazar along with 8 brothers and sisters. The family moved to Monte Vista in 1928 where she eventually attended Fremont High School and graduated from beauty school. She owned and operated The Pink Lady Beauty Salon in Los Altos. She married veteran Alfonso Paz in 1946 and raised two children in Mountain View. She enjoyed spending time with her family, homemaking, gardening, dancing, volunteering at the Mountain View Senior Center, and traveling the world. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her fun-loving and caring nature, as well as her amazing strength and determination, were an inspiration to all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her 2 daughter’s Yolanda Squarcia and Yvonne Dixon, her 5 grandchildren Kent Squarcia, Kirsten Squarcia, Tony Dixon, Samantha Lesteberg, and Aaron Dixon and 10 great-grandchildren Kelsey Squarcia, Dante Squarcia, Chandler Dixon, Cameron Voorhees, Evan Dixon, Blaine Dixon, Cooper Lesteberg, Zoey Lesteberg, Logan Dixon, and Colton Dixon. Victoria was preceded in death by her husband Alfonso Paz in 2003. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Victoria’s name.
